This is the most senior International Paper physical security management position responsible for the implementation of global physical security process development and enterprise security risk management programs, including proper identification, evaluation and monitoring of all hazards and risks. In accordance with International Paper (IP’s) Enterprise Security Management (ESM) strategic plan, the successful candidate will develop, implement, and manage International Paper’s physical security framework for the IP corporate campus and global facilities. Using risk-based and cost benefit analysis commensurate with current resource allocation, will identify physical risk areas in our enterprise, and will prepare business cases to obtain and allocate financial and human resources to manage risk according to business risk tolerance and the evolving threat landscape. This position will report to the Chief Security Officer (CSO). Will have direct corporate and contract security reports and will manage teams and projects.
Advising business leaders with the development and implementation of appropriate physical security risk management, this position has security accountabilities for all IP physical security processes. Works closely with the Enterprise Health and Safety, Regional Safety, Business Risk Management, business unit leadership, department heads and supervisors to enhance physical security risk management capabilities by utilizing effective security risk management practices and tools. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that physical security has appropriately addressed risk, providing reliable, complete, and timely reporting of risk management issues and strategies. Maintain an internal awareness of global trends and opportunities pertaining to physical internal control systems and risk management programs.
Develop and drive IP’s enterprise physical security standards based on ASIS International
Develop and keeping IP’s Physical Security Maturity Models current
Responsibility for IP security site assessments standards and scale to enterprise
Design and manage the enterprise CCTV design
Design and manage IP’s enterprise access control system
Manage corporate and facilities’ guard force contract, deliverables, and operations
Manage security specialist responsibilities
Develop and own the enterprise preventive and response property crime program
Own and manage the IT Security vendor relationship
Own the relationship with IP security Facilities Management and with Aircraft Operations

15 yrs. security and security management experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college
ASIS - Certified Protection Professional (CPP) in Security Management
Current or the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
Former Federal Law enforcement, FBI or Secret Service
Extensive experience in International Security Operations
Foreign Language – Spanish
