National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec), a prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration, has an immediate opening for a Security Supervisor. Work location is in Santa Barbara, CA. U.S. Citizenship required.
The successful candidate will perform the duties of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the Special Technologies Laboratory (STL) facilities and operations located in Santa Barbara, CA. These duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring that the security program at STL conforms and complies with the requirements and regulations in the applicable Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec) Company Security Directives and other relevant Nevada Enterprise Security procedures. Security areas of responsibility include, but also are not limited to, physical security of facilities, protection of government property, lock and key control, controlling prohibited articles, defining and maintaining facility security areas, access authorizations and security clearances, incoming and outgoing visitor control, security badges, creating, handling, storing, processing and transporting classified matter, secure communications, security training, awareness and employee briefings, OPSEC, technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM), emissions security (TEMPEST), communications security (COMSEC), investigating incidents of security concern and assisting with the local implementation of the counterintelligence (CI) program. This position also includes setting up subcontracts and providing oversight of subcontractors providing security services in the areas of alarms, cameras, card readers, locks, and other needed security services. This individual will also act as the Supervisor for the STL security staff and access control personnel in the Security Section and provide technical direction, work scheduling, time card approval and recommend personnel actions. Promote and actively participate in the National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec) safety concept. Support and encourage employee participation in NSTec environment, safety, health, and quality initiatives.
