Provide effective leadership, guidance and direction for all Security Officers within the Security Department at Scarborough Town Centre. Ensure compliance with all standardized safety and security policies and procedures within the company. Safeguard the company’s property from legal improprieties and loss. Recommend, review and implement Safety and Security programs under the guidance of the Security Manager and the Assistant Security Manager.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that the customer service philosophies are met and are an important part of the everyday operation of the Security Department. - Ensuring that all Security personnel functions are being properly completed by the Security Department. Provide supervision for workers to ensure workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment. - Ensuring that all employees, tenants and visitors abide by the shopping centres rules and regulations - Reviewing all reports and notebooks completed by Security personnel to ensure accuracy and timely submission. - Performing duties and tasks as assigned by the Security Manager, Assistant Security Manager and respond to directions from all shopping centre management. - Ensuring that each shift is properly manned at all times and perform Security Officer duties as required. -Comply with all employer responsibilities prescribed under the applicable provincial Health and Safety Act.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A post secondary education in Criminal Justice, Law, Police Foundations or a related field. - 5+ years experience providing Security services. Previous shopping centre or large institution experience is an asset. - 2+ years prior supervisory experience (experience supervising in a unionized environment an asset).
