The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing will directly manage Business Development Managers and be responsible for working with large or strategically important end-user prospects. They will be accountable for identifying, creating, capturing and managing business opportunities through these channels, from responding to and winning bid solicitations.
The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing is responsible for securing contracts with new customers, as well as managing ongoing contracts. They will also write proposals for new and existing clients, identify and develop/execute plans to meet company sales goals. The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing must develop and maintain a network of contacts within and outside of the company.
The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing will be expected to respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Utilizing the Business Development Managers and other in-house resources, the Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing must drive revenue while maintaining exceptional customer service. Other Duties may include:
Meet and/or exceed a quota
Lead, manage and direct Business Development Managers
Ability to work closely with Branch and Operations Managers
Work with existing clients to expand services and footprint, while deepening and expanding existing relationships
Maintain industry and product knowledge and inform company of market trends changing market conditions and competitive issues
Identify and close sales opportunities with existing customers and coordinate activities with internal management to include Business Development Managers, Branch Managers and C-Level of management.
Direct, maintain and improve upon company marketing materials and efforts to include social media.
At least 8+ years sales experience in the security marketplace.
Experience managing a large territory
Established contacts &relationships with consultants, potential customers & resellers.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven environment.
Experience with a specific sales methodology, sales funnel management.
The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing will be expected to travel locally. Such travel will have varying frequency depending on special projects, but is expected to be about 30-40%. Other travel includes participation at industry trade shows (in varying locations), and occasional travel outside of the assigned territory.
The Sales VP of Business Development and Marketing will be expected to present themselves in a professional manner as a representative of First Security Services. This includes strong written and verbal communication skills.
A college degree is required and at least 8 years of experience in a sales role in the security industry.
