This position is responsible for investigating allegations of theft, fraud, conflicts of interest, Business Code of Conduct violations, Ethics violations and digital enterprise cyber based fraud prevention at Stanley Black & Decker (“SBD”) operations. The SBD Asset Protection team provides investigative related oversight and guidance to SBD business units. This position reports into the Global Manager of Investigations, has no direct reports, and will work with various Asset Protection professionals and outside consultants, if required. The primary objective of this position is to help protect SBD’s assets, brand, reputation and employees by investigating and resolving Business Code of Conduct related issues. All investigations will be fair, honest, well documented and include proactive business solutions / recommendations to mitigate the recurrence of the underlying issues leading to the investigation. This is a global position based in Asia and will require extensive travel. Position will be based in either Shanghai or Singapore.
Bachelor Degree in Loss Prevention / Cyber - Security related field (strongly preferred).
Specialized skills / knowledge and technical expertise in internal/external investigations and physical security standards / integration.
Minimum of 5+ years experience working in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention and/or Risk Management and Computer Forensic or related fields.
Multilingual: English, Mandarin & Japanese
Strong leadership skills including: effective oral and written communication, issue resolution, negotiation, motivating others, collaborative, team player, ability to deal with obstacles and partner with senior management to identify/solve problems.
Strategic thinker to identify and minimize exposure to global emerging trends and threats.
Knowledge of financial operations and processes; analytical skills to diagnose root cause deficiencies.
Microsoft Office computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Wicklander & Zulawski / Reid: certified interview and interrogation skills and training
Active memberships in security organizations (i.e., ASIS & IRMA)
Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) through ASIS International preferred but not required.
Demonstrated capability to travel worldwide and work through culture and language barriers.
