This position provides vision and leadership for developing, supporting and maintaining Stanley Black&Decker’s Physical Security-related initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Global Physical Security, this position includes developing, policies/procedures, working closely with a variety of business units and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely implementation of physical security related improvements/recommendations, and coordinating physical security enhancements with our Stanley Security Solutions organization. The qualified candidate will assist with the planning and implementation of SBD Security Facility “Roadmaps” at SBD facilities working closely with other applicable functions (e.g. Operations, Global Trade Compliance, and EHS&S) and may support as and if needed SBD fraud investigations. This is a global position based in Belgium and will require extensive travel.
Bachelor degree or major course work in a Security field of study or equivalent experience (e.g. held positions for major corporations or government with focused physical security responsibilities).
Minimum of 3+ years experience in a Physical Security/Risk Management related field with demonstrated knowledge on a wide range of physical security concerns, principles and practices.
Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification through ASIS International is preferred.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify remediation solutions that will address identified inadequacies and mitigate emerging threats.
Strong background in new construction design, installation, project management and ongoing support to Physical Security Initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills including (Microsoft Office Suite)
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism.
Ability to perform multiple tasks; work independently, with a team and across several functional areas.
Active membership in ASIS International.
