We are conducting a search for a Director of Security for Brandywine Hospital located in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
The Director of Security has primary responsibility for the development, implementation and ongoing management of a health care security strategy to identify, assess, prevent, protect and mitigate risks, threats and vulnerabilities to safeguard people, assets, and property. This role is responsible for the identification and evaluation of all security risks, threats and vulnerabilities as well as implementation of corrective measures to protect people, assets, and property. The Director is responsible for coordinating, developing, influencing, leading, and measuring all security programs, as well as managing security department personnel, contractors, and consultants.
The Director of Security will collaboratively ensure that the security programs meet or exceed industry proven practices and standards as well as applicable federal, state, and health care regulatory expectations. The Director of Security will act as a primary subject matter expert, resource, and liaison for law enforcement and security regulatory agencies, and partner closely across multiple functions within the organization for qualitative and quantitative security risk mitigation performance and to provide advice and guidance.
Director of Security Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement, Business Management or related field is preferred.
Professional certifications and health care related experience are preferred.
10 years of progressively responsible security or law enforcement program management or related experience.
Demonstrated ability and performance history working to meet and exceed assigned objectives, on budget, including management of third party providers.
Knowledge and experience with Emergency Preparedness, Critical Incident Management, Business Continuity and Disaster recovery principles.
Knowledge and experience for introduction, management and maintenance of industry accepted standards and proven practices for employee safety, physical security, personnel and asset protection technologies.
Demonstrated ability to manage and forecast budgets with the understanding of financial impacts including return on investment of decisions/recommendations.
Knowledge and experience regarding related state, local, and federal laws, regulations and proven practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
Ability to be on call or assure critical incident response on a 24x7x365 basis.
