The Federal Security Officer/Security Manager will serve as the Security Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting multiple facilities in all areas of Industrial Security; Personnel Security, Information Security, Communications Security, and Physical Security. Under limited supervision, ensures compliance with government regulations for classified Facility Clearance/COMSEC Account and assist exports as needed. The Facility Clearance is required for the company to work with classified government information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the Security Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting multiple facilities in all areas of Security (Personnel Security/Information Security/Communications Security/Physical Security) supporting the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and Special Security Agreement (SSA)
Oversees site-level compliance with government and company security policies, procedures and directives
Export Assistance responsibilities include performing duties to screen, and review/approve foreign visitor verification forms.
Provides professional security training and mentorship to Security Managers to ensure competence and required skill sets are available at each facility
Principle advisor to executive management and Corporate Vice President, Security on all industrial and physical security-related matters
Disseminates information relative to NISP, Corporate or Group Policy requirements
Ensures executive leadership team is kept apprised of key Corporate and Site security issues which have the potential to impact business operations
Oversees each locations support of the Peer Review Program, either directly or through group FSO participation, as required by the Corporate Security Program
Ensures the timely staffing, review, coordination and forwarding of applicable site Facility Security Status Report (FSSR) on a bimonthly basis
Reviews site’s periodic self-inspections on local processes and practices to ensure NISP and SSA compliance; provides guidance to maintain compliance and accurately reports security posture to site, group and corporate leadership
Through site visits and FSSR reporting, ensures leadership and corporate security are aware of all security risk points and corrective action plans
Coordinates on all site-specific procedures and serve as the organization’s leading security professional on all matters related to physical and industrial security
Ensures all Security Managers are adequately trained in accordance with industry standards and policies and procedures
Conducts investigations and approves site-level Reports of Investigations (ROI) on NISP, SSA and other security investigations; ensure timely submission of ROIs to executive leadership, corporate security and external government customers
Maintains proficiency and professional certification in physical, NISP and FOCI security policies and practices
Physical security responsibility include the support and management of our 24/7 security guard team, security of building, alarm systems, and camera system.
Duties including but not limited to: Classified shipment preparation and documentation classified inventories, scrap shipments, clearance administration including background checks and review of personal data, DSS Self-Inspections, Insecurity response, update GS procedures, classified visitor requests, briefings, conducts training, AIS system reviews, lead the Insider Threat Working Group, and DSS/NSA Audits.
Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead security presentations on trends and practices during monthly FSO Discussion Groups and Annual Security Conference
Provide timely responses to all corporate Security data calls
Strong experience with Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and other government agencies requirements
Advises executive management and Site leadership on manpower requirements to support physical and industrial security requirements
Travels as necessary to company sites to deliver company-level training, assessments and/or mentoring opportunities
Serve on the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Crisis Management Team (CMT).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree, with Master’s degree preferred
Demonstrated expertise of NISP and FOCI standards, and other Security laws and regulations
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Must be eligible to garner and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
Must have superior multitasking, organization and time management skills
Previous management and supervisory experience required
Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office software. Experience using Design of Experiment (DOE) or other statistical software is preferred
