Capital One Global Security is looking for an experienced Threat Management Advisor
The Global Security Threat Management Team is responsible for the management of the workplace violence prevention and intervention program, assesses external and internal physical security threats, and supports a variety of corporate and retail security investigations and issues. The Threat Management Team has oversight of policy, plans, training, screening, threat assessment, response, investigation, incident analysis, summary reporting and continuous review/mitigation of threats and workplace violence issue.
The Threat Management Advisor will be responsible for investigating and managing workplace violence concerns, direct and indirect threats against associates, assets and the business, including harassing and threatening communications and social media posts, and other criminal incidents.
This position will require on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis 24/7/365.
Perform threat assessments on a wide variety of issues and concerns.
Provide security support and management for criminal incidents including bank robberies and theft or vandalism.
Liaise with law enforcement on criminal incidents and respond to requests for support for ongoing law enforcement investigations.
Conduct evidence reviews including video, digital and written.
Collaborates with Legal, Associate Relations, Human Resources, and other partners on WPV issues including coordinating meetings to review critical incidents, assess program effectiveness, and address potential threats.
Supports security assessments protect against incidents including physical security, access control and CCTV.
Determines and recommends appropriate mitigation methods that are consistent with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Use a variety of open source and social media and networking sources to perform investigations.
Draft analytical products and threat assessments.
Stay current on the latest tools to effectively and accurately monitor and investigate.
Effectively share information with appropriate management in a time sensitive manner.
Assists in employee and contractor terminations and personnel actions that may require security assistance.
Maintains proper documentation on all investigations.
Prepares internal and external documentation on persons of interest or concern.
Position must assist in maintaining the confidentiality of customer, associate and business data at all times.
Conduct research and interviews in accordance with all state, federal, and local laws.
Active member in professional security organizations including the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals and ASIS.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Experience in intelligence analysis, analytical writing and case management
Working knowledge of open source intelligence platforms and analysis tools
Seek proactive intelligence gathering
Possess a high degree of initiative and drive
Demonstrated ability to conduct threat assessments and investigations
Knowledge of criminal law
Familiarity with retail security
Possess a high degree of integrity
Able to manage several responsibilities at once with little supervision, including making critical decisions.
At least 5 years of private sector corporate security or Law Enforcement experience
At least 5 years in Investigations or Threat Assessments.
Bachelor's Degree Security Management or Criminal Justice
At least 7 years of private sector corporate security or Law Enforcement experience
At least 7 years in Investigations or Threat Assessments
Professional certification in area of expertise, including Certified Threat Manager (CTM) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
