GSOC Intelligence Manager serves and directs all personnel and intelligence activities within day to day operations of a security operations center located in New Jersey. The Manager will be responsible for managing the overall coordination, reporting, and administration of the client’s on-site intelligence support. The manager is empowered to make real-time decisions and to escalate issues to WorldAware management, as required, to support the client’s objectives.
This position may require supporting rotating shift work, to include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Extended hours (12-hour shifts) are occasionally required. The manager facilitates communications for the entire program by organizing and arranging internal and customer meetings, delivering reports, program schedules, agendas and meeting minutes, ensuring program deliverables are provided on-time and up to quality standards.
Serves as the team lead and day to day point of contact for team members and personnel in GSOC
Maintain regular interaction back to WorldAware’s headquarters, WorldAware’s watch operations center, and with all client team members to exchange current task status, plans, and forecasts.
Manages and coordinates all production activities on shift, including managing shift schedule
Manages personnel and resources to ensure thorough 24/7 global and on-site monitoring and reporting
Assist and participate in hiring / training / departing of GSOC staff and evaluations of on the job performance
Supervises staff in generating time-sensitive situation reports and alerts, and performs quality assurance and editing of intelligence products
Liaises with client staff, other contractors and vendors in order to respond to inquiries and provide guidance as required
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Travel, HR/Benefits, Legal, IT, Supply Chain, etc.) and vendors in support of the client’s goals
Develop and implement pertinent policies and procedures, revise and update as necessary.
Conducts training, guidance and assistance to the team
Tracks GSOC Metrics
Works with client and team to ensure all SOPs are reviewed and updated regularly
Be available as point of escalation for client or team for guidance, clarification, decisions, and surge support
Education, Experience & Requirements
5+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, enterprise risk management or a related field required; demonstrated professional experience in intelligence watch operations preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master’s degree preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage personnel
Exposure to critical thinking, risk analysis and incident management
Intelligence gathering, analysis and alerting experience preferred
Effective problem solving, time management, and people management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; accurate typing skills
Coordination of prompt, high-quality responses to demands and intel requests, and providing constructive feedback on analysis and writing.
Self-motivated, highly flexible and possess strong initiative and be willing to undertake shift-duties
Foreign travel and experience; proficiency in second language desirable
Extensive periods of sitting in a Security Operations Center environment
Occasional travel to WorldAware headquarters in Annapolis, MD
Ability to work rotating shift schedule on occasion
