We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Security. This position is located in the Central Business District in Philadelphia and consist of an upscale shopping mall and a class AA office building. Experience in the Retail security industry is preferred.
The Director of Security manages security services and related operations to an assigned account, including customer relations, problem resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business development, preparation of post orders, ensuring proper staffing & scheduling, assuring proper supervision and training. Supervises Securitas Security Officers and subordinate managers & supervisors. Contributes to security program planning and implementation. Liaisons with relevant public authorities (police, fire, EMS, emergency management, etc.). Liaisons with Customer’s management & employees, contractors, tenants and other stakeholders.
Prior security management experience in commercial high rise and, or premier retail properties preferred. Also, knowledge managing an access control system (preferably CCure 9000), video management systems, and visitor management is desired. High rise experience or retail experience and CPP designation (achieved or in progress) is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred; 5 years of management level experience or above in public service or private sector security organization preferred, and documented progressively responsible management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
