Under the responsibility of the Director Security Infrastructure & Technology, the Manager Security Services will develop and manage Ryder’s corporate security infrastructure in relation to customer and internal requirements to ensure compliance with established corporate standards. The incumbent’s goal is to improve the overall security awareness, by working with appropriate stakeholders to conduct audits, training, identify and report deficiencies on physical and procedural security measures implemented, and recommend improvement strategies and track implementation of corrective actions. S/he will investigate and report, where required, all matters of criminal or civil acts against or involving Ryder.
Develop and manage corporate security infrastructure to meet Ryder and customer business requirements
Identify and make recommendations pertaining to cost effective security solutions; track implementation of system upgrades to improve overall security effectiveness
Create business case security solutions for executive review and approval, within current business structure or future growth opportunities
Audit security processes and systems to identify areas for business improvements
Conduct security awareness and system usage training pertaining to all aspects of Ryder business unit’s
Investigate security incidents as directed by the Director Security Infrastructure & Technology
Responsible for security personnel, pertaining to security infrastructure reporting matrix
Develop and manage security processes, and work instructions relative to security systems operation internally and at customer locations
Work in conjunction with functional departments as it pertains to all security related matters
Perform other related duties as assigned.
College degree in a related field such as law & security, criminal justice or IT security; a combination of other education and experiences will be considered
Valid accreditation (CPP, CFI or CPO) preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a security management role in the transportation and logistics field at a distribution center
Minimum two (2) years of experience in the management and the operation of national security monitoring center.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in the design, implementation and programing of CCTV, intrusion detection and access control (familiarity with a Lenel based system preferred)
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in security system project management
Minimum one (1) year of experience in conducting security awareness training
Strong interpersonal and communication skills- verbal and written
Bilingual in Spanish- verbal and written
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to set and adjust priorities to meet simultaneous needs
Must be process-minded and have the ability to develop effective security procedures and protocols
Must be computer literate and able to use the Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) as well as internet for work related matters
Candidate must be able to travel throughout North America and is expected to travel 25-30% of the time
Various or additional hours may be necessary as dictated by circumstances
