CWG is Headquartered in Bohemia, NY not far from MacArthur Airport.
The Director of Security is responsible for developing and managing security programs for the protection of people and assets for all CWG facilities worldwide, including: standardizing guard force operations at all locations, enhancing and implementing security preparedness and response procedures, assessing the state of physical security programs at newly acquired/leased production facilities and advising management regarding new technologies and physical security systems.
Manage day to day physical security operations for all CWG facilities, including guard force management. Design, evaluate, implement and/or maintain physical security systems to ensure accuracy of data and operational effectiveness and reliability.
Develop and conduct security awareness training programs
Coordinate security requirements for the organization and supervise visitor screening procedures
Coordinate, plan and communicate with strategic and operation partners to proactively identify, mitigate and manage operational and production risks
Standardize, coordinate and manage responses to security incidents as needed and investigate and address actual and potential threats
Conduct investigations of incidents of theft, inventory shortage, and other malfeasance as necessary
Develop emergency response plans and protocols for incidents such as medical emergency, fire, bomb threat, workplace violence, power outage, etc.
Develop operational security guidance policy / procedure / protocol documents for all aspects of CWG business
Conduct site risk assessments and develop plans as needed to ensure security measures are commensurate with identified risks and threats.
Provide first-line supervision, mentoring, and leadership of Security team members
Liaise with law enforcement agencies: establish lines of communication and develop working / professional relationships.
Management of security services providers as applicable (guards, security systems integrators, alarm monitoring services, etc.)
Minimum of 5 years in a law enforcement role and 5 years in physical security, or loss prevention in the private sector, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role leading law enforcement officers and / or security staff personnel.
Experience in designing, reviewing, selecting and/or implementing security systems / technology across multiple locations. Must include thorough operational understanding of video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and visitor management tools/systems
CPP, PSP, and/or CISSP professional certifications preferred
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
Must be able and willing to travel as required (), maintain awareness of trends and developments in the area of physical security, and learn and retain new skills as required supporting a continually changing technical environment.
Must possess communication skills to be able to effectively interact with all levels from staff personnel to senior company leadership.
Function as an integral member of a management team comprised of Operations, Physical Production, Facilities, Legal, and Human Resource professionals
