About the role:
The Sr Specialist will be responsible for supporting security system installation programming and integrations for Boston Scientific facilities, including enterprise-wide access controls and enterprise wide CCTV. The Sr.Specialist will also provide support to the Global Security Manager(s) in evaluating existing systems for vulnerabilities and researching new security technologies to mitigate risks.
Your responsibilities include:
Act as System Administrator for enterprise-wide Video Management System (VMS) and provide global support
Act as System administrator for enterprise-wide Electronic Access Control Systems and provide global support
Ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of hardware/software relating to VMS and Electronic Access Control systems meet the needs of the end-users and the company
Ensure the VMS and Electronic Access Control systems scale with the company’s growth
Properly notify end-users of any maintenance or interruptions of VMS and Electronic Access Control system services
Manage security installation projects for EMEA and APAC
Assist in security installation projects for the US and LATAM
Provide trainings and associated resources for the VMS and Electronic Access Control systems
Provide regular management reports showing the current state of security in Boston Scientific’s environment.
Liaison for Security Systems Integrators
Assist in managing the Security Systems Integrator’s contract
Research and explore technologies that may reduce security risk to Boston Scientific or optimize existing applications and security processes
Create and update Policies, SOPs, WIs, and other documented processes/standards relating to physical security applications and hardware installations
Maintain oversight to ensure that the VMS and Electronic Access Control systems scale with the company’s growth.
Participate in the development of new facilities and facility renovations from a security standpoint.
Assist where needed in coordinating cross functional efforts with Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Privacy & Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance (Sarbanes/Oxley), Senior Enterprise Management and Information Systems to provide thorough analysis of security risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies.
Assist in stabilizing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and be knowledgeable of current trends in the security industry.
What we’re looking for:
BA or BS degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5-7 years of relevant experience in a corporate security environment and the security industry
3 years of security technologist experience with CCTV andElectronic Access Control Systems.
Experience with S2, Lenel, Milestone, Report Exec preferred
Demonstrated working knowledge of best-in class security processes and practices.
Adept at interpreting CAD drawings and planning CCTV and access systems using those drawings
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including consulting, team building and collaboration.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintains a strong sense of urgency.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work after hours in emergency situations.
5-10% travel required for company meetings and conferences.
