The GSOC Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Global Security Operations Center for the Global Security department and supporting the organization through proficient monitoring, analyzing, measuring and notification of security risks. The GSOC Specialist collaborates with all facets of the Company in order to mitigate risk to people and property.
This position processes all relevant inbound information, calls for assistance, data feeds, and alarms and provides appropriate necessary response. The Specialist is further responsible for maintaining the Global Security Travel Program; administration of the Emergency Mass Notification Platform; providing general supervision for Access Control, Visitor Management, and other security-related platforms; promoting the Safety & Security awareness for Associates. The Specialist will assist with operations associated with health and safety, such as emergency evacuations and mustering; first aid / AED training; Workplace Violence Prevention programs; safety drills; awareness training.
Monitor system alarms and all systems-related equipment.
Evaluate global incidents that may impact employees or offices and escalate accordingly to security management and/or to other sites or business partners (HR, IT, Legal, Facilities, etc.).
Utilize open source intelligence techniques (OSINT) to identify security risks that have the potential to affect the Company.
Respond to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and dispatch security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire and EMS personnel as required.
Monitor Associates’ travel and notify Global Security management of any potential risks.
In collaboration with Legal and HR, maintain various records of communications and events, particularly those related to various incidents or reports of workplace violence.
Support traveling Associates with any requests for assistance (medical, stolen property, etc.).
Conduct situational analysis and prepare reports and presentations as necessary.
Act as a liaison between internal clients, remote locations, and the Global Security team.
Schedule site assessments for remote locations requiring to be added to the global access control platform.
Coordinate annual system upgrades; ensure proper notification is provided to all remote locations; collaborate with Global IT on project executions.
Evaluate travel notifications and alert travelers of potential impact as needed.
Collaborate with Global Events to prioritize and schedule protection services for various company events (Sales Meetings, Leadership meetings, etc.).
Send alerts and make any required emergency notifications.
Support a cross functional Threat Management Team.
Schedule and execute emergency response (CPR, AED, BBP, first aid) training for relevant corporate personnel.
Be responsible for set-up, execution and maintenance of all GSOC analytical processes and tasks.
Manage and maintain the Global Access Control server.
Work with external vendors on supporting system components; schedule system service and maintenance calls.
Initiate IT and Facilities work orders as necessary.
Assist in maintaining the Global Security intranet page.
Provide general assistance to Associates, contractors, vendors and guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Work Experience Requirements:
5-8 years of security related work experience
Experience in a Global Organization preferred
Associate's Degree required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
