Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System with a Fredericksburg Area Campus in Spotsylvania, a Locust Grove Campus, and several off-campus centers. Germanna Community College is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual to join the faculty as an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will teach a variety of cybersecurity classes. The successful candidate will teach both day and evening courses at any college location teaching a minimum of 30 credits per year (fall/spring) five courses each semester. Current Industry Certifications such as: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CISSP, CEH are preferred. The College desires applicants with a commitment to the community college mission; teaching, learning, and student success; integration of learning outcomes assessment into course development and teaching; use of current and emerging technologies to enhance instruction; and integration of global perspectives in instruction. Finalists will be invited to present a short sample lesson. This is a full-time nine-month faculty position. Salary is commensurate with rank and credentials plus State benefits.
