The University of Maryland Baltimore County is recruiting for an entry level Police Officer I position.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Enforce local, state, and federal laws
Patrol academic and residential areas on foot, bicycle, and Segway
Respond to calls for assistance and emergency services
Provide safety escorts
Prepare reports and conduct investigations
Testify in court
Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred)
US Citizen at least 21 years of age
Must pass Functional Fitness Assessment
Must complete/pass the MPCTC Minimum Standard Entrance Level Police Course within 1 year of hire
Must possess a valid Drivers License
The ability to work overtime and shift work is required
Background Screening Statement:
A background check will be required.
Candidates that meet the minimum qualifications for the position (High School Diploma/GED, U.S. Citizen at least 21 years of age, and valid driver's license) will be invited to complete the Functional Fitness Assessment.
The Functional Fitness Assessment will be held on December 12, 2020.
