Proposed hire date is September 1, 2021. Hiring is contingent upon current budget environment Primarily responsible for the teaching/learning process and will also participate in the necessary operations of the program, department, college and institution. The Department of Engineering and Computer Science at Tarleton State University invites applications for a Cybersecurity  position (tenure track) with an effective start date of September 1, 2021. This 9 month position will be part of the future Cybersecurity program on the Stephenville campus. Required Education/Experience/Skills ⓠApplicants must have an earned PhD degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or related field, approved by the University and recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as appropriate to the discipline. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills ⓠAbility to teach common undergraduate Computer Science classes like procedural and object-oriented programming, algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, etc., and more specialized Cybersecurity classes like principles of cybersecurity, ethical hacking, computer forensics, network security, etc. Involvement with professional societies of the discipline such as ACM, IEEE, (ISC)2, ISSA, SANS, etc. Experience with Canvas, or similar LMS is also a plus.
