As an Associate Security Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the protection of Metropolitan assets, employees, and visitors. Metropolitan’s Weymouth Water Treatment Plant in La Verne, California will be your primary work location. You will also have protective duties in other areas within Orange and Los Angeles counties. You will be relied upon as a subject matter expert in the security disciplines of physical security (large scale infrastructure protection), investigations, and loss prevention. You will lead regular, temporary, and contract security workers at various facilities as you coordinate and review work assignments on a day-to-day basis.

In this position you will be required to demonstrate your capability to respond to pressing and demanding situations; perform well under pressure; serve as the agent on call for 24 hours (standby duty) on a rotational basis; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and exercise good judgment under demanding situations.
