We are searching for an experienced security consultant who has been “in-house” in a security department. Our firm serves as the outsourced security department for a midsize corporation with international offices.
The job entails coordinating and overseeing the delivery of critical security services to corporate offices and other company facilities. These services include managing the installation of new security systems, upgrades and routine maintenance of existing security infrastructure, and the evaluation of facilities to ensure compliance with Corporate Security Standards and applicable laws.
The consultant will manage physical security at all corporate sites and will be responsible for auditing security systems and employee procedures on a routine basis. The consultant will monitor CCTV and alarm systems and serve as the company’s point of contact with local law enforcement in the event of an emergency. The consultant will also serve as the designated liaison to vendors who provide security services for the company. This position will also work closely with the IT team, the facilities team, and the legal team to develop and implement business continuity strategies and operational procedures.
The consultant will assist with on-site investigations of accidents or criminal activity and will keep the Security Director apprised of any liabilities facing the company at its headquarters or other sites. The consultant will also hold security briefings and conduct security training seminars on a routine basis for the security force and other employees as appropriate. The consultant will be responsible for these and other duties as assigned by the Security Director.
