Job Summary:

Responsible for the performance of routine and special security duties, providing a service-oriented security and safety program for the University. Security Officers serve the University in the areas of emergency services, maintenance of public order, coordination of other University services related to the Security function, and crime prevention.

Security Officers support the educational and developmental mission of the Administrative Division, as well as the Catholic, Jesuit and humanistic principles of the University Mission Statement.

Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED

1-3 years experience

Early career, knowledge may be from education and/or experience.

Valid driver’s license

Ability to operate radio equipment, surveillance software, report writing software and multiple computer programs

Must be able to obtain a Limited Commission with the Spokane Police Department

Ability to pass an extensive background check

Must be able to work extended shifts due to emergencies on campus

Ability to work overtime as required or directed

Possess or ability to obtain basic first aid and CPR certification
