The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Security Manager with strong interpersonal skills to develop, implement and manage a bureau-wide security program that will ensure the safety of its employees and the protection of its assets.
This position will work closely with the bureau’s managers and coordinate with the emergency program manager, facility and property managers, contract security guards, law-enforcement and other external partners to identify and assess risk and understand security-related needs and issues. Strong communication, facilitation and negotiation skills will be critical for this position’s successful development and implementation of new policies, procedures, business processes, and design and operational standards that will support the security and safety needs across the bureau.
