BSCTC is looking for a highly motivated, disciplined individual to teach CIT and CYS to college students
The primary purpose of the position is to configure, maintain and secure private servers for the computer Information Technology and Cybersecurity programs to accommodate remote labs for students. In addition, the faculty member will teach as qualified in the CIT and CYS programs.
This is a Grant funded, defined-term, 10-month faculty contract position located on the Prestonsburg Campus.
Instruction in the area of Computer Information Technology (CIT) and Cybersecurity (CYS) between six (6) to nine (9) hours per semester.
Assist with recruiting and advising with CIT and CYS students.
Assist with Grant related activities and reporting as needed.
Configure, maintain, and secure private servers using VMWare and NetLab applications.
Maintain student logins.
Ensure software is up-to-date.
Other duties as assigned.
Duties include teaching face-to-face and online, on multiple campuses as needed, advising, serving on college committees and participating in college events and activities, providing external service to the community and participating in professional development activities.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Security and Cybersecurity and five (5) years related experience.
Credential must be granted from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Master's Degree in Information Technology Security and Cybersecurity and five (5) years related experience.
