This position is for part-time instructor in the college's non-credit programs under Workforce Solutions. These programs include both continuing education for professional development and industry recognized credential attainment, which may be offered at Danville Community College campuses and other convenient locations throughout the community. The instructor must be responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in both a classroom or an on-line environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Instructors must be skilled in oral and written communication and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members. Classes may meet days, nights or weekends.
*Demonstrated competency in an IT/Cyber Security field *Sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources *Certification in at least one of the following: A+, Network+, UNIX, Linux, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+ *Ability to design and implement lesson plans that aligns learning objectives with student outcomes *Ability to develop and adapt teaching and learning strategies to accommodate the diversity of community college students to promote acquisition and application of knowledge *Ability to effectively communicate inter-personally (in group and one-on-one settings) orally and in writing
