The position is hands-on and responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the security officers, supervisors and managers training and development in the company. Harvard Protection’s Training Manager has overarching accountability for the management, delivery and maintenance of employee training and onboarding for a specific location/region in the company. Partnering with the training team, recruitment, human resources, & site operations leaders, this role ensures a seamless assimilation of new hires into the organization & culture with a goal of accelerating employee productivity & reducing turnover. The position is responsible for the developing, implementation and tracking of company, region and location specific employee training and developing materials and programs designed to enhance the employee’s performance and customer experiences.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Manages the end-to-end orientation program for assigned locations, including session coordination, attendance tracking & facilitation; creates a high energy & engaging experience to maximize employee learning.
Develop, prepare, and ensure that training all materials are kept up to date and designed in compliance with all local, state, and federal industry requirements.
Partners with the Harvard Training Team and serves as the local subject matter expert on Harvard’s learning management system.
Updates training records in Harvard’s LMS and ensure accuracy in training documenting and reporting.
Delivers of training content and management of training programs aimed at developing our direct labor workforce, which may include compliance training, and supervisor/manager training.
Develops and prepares training and development related bulletins and customized material (monthly) for our employees, managers, and clients, as appropriate.
Continually assesses training needs and develops recommendations for training programs that increase overall location effectiveness and efficiency.
3-5 years’ experience in training, coaching, and developing frontline employees, preferably in the Security Guarding Services industry
Experience in Security Guarding Services on-site client management a plus
Knowledge of or associations with ASIS and other industry related organizations
Certifications to train in industry related service programs that may include; fire life safety, CPR, 1st Aid, local/state/federal industry related training requirements, etc.
Strong presentation & facilitation skills
