Under the direction of University of California Police Department (UCPD) Public Safety Services Administration, the Security Operations Manager will be the lead for 24/7 operations of the UCSF Public Safety Services. This position will be one of primary managers for UCPD Public Safety Services Division. The position will also be required to act as liaison with numerous UCSF Health and Campus departments including, but not limited to the Lock Shop, Engineering, Telecomm, and UCPD sworn officers.
The individual will supervise staff and maintain the records for Public Safety Services employees. The position requires an individual who can work independently and perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
In addition to overseeing Security Operations, the Security Operations Manager will also be responsible for assisting with the Public Safety Services training and compliance programs; through the management and supervision of security supervisors as well as overseeing the field/post training. Responsibilities will include assisting with the development, preparation, and instruction of appropriate training programs for Public Safety Services security, as well as ensuring that all training documentation and compliance records are completed in division based competency tracking program. The Security Operations Manager will oversee the completion of all training compliance needs for the department and be a department resource for professional development opportunities outside of required compliance training for Public Safety Services division staff.
