We are seeking a Corporate Security Manager like you to join our team. In this role, you will have managerial responsibility for the comprehensive security program within your assigned area of responsibility. This area may include many different types of BASF Business Units and associated facilities with varying degrees of complexity. You will be charged with providing subject matter expertise and guidance on many aspects of the overall Region security programs, all aimed at providing a safe and secure environment for BASF employees, contractors and visitors. You will lead the security support mission and exemplify value to your assigned site locations.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education (minimum of Associates Degree) and a minimum of five years Corporate Security Managerial experience working in an internal corporate security department within a manufacturing, chemical or similar environment and having lead responsibility for multiple facilities in a geographical area.
You will identify, develop, implement, and maintain security policy, best practices and processes (in accordance with governing regulations and policies) to reduce and mitigate risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability in all areas of proprietary information, financial data, company assets, physical, personal, and guard against reputational risk.
The following certifications will be extremely beneficial in this role: ASIS, CPP, CFE.
Your strong leadership and interpersonal skills will serve you well as you have indirect supervisory responsibility over site security representatives and a third-party contracted guard force in your assigned area.
Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations of criminal, civil and Company policy matters as the lead investigator.
You will also use these skills to manage vendor contractor performance within your assigned area to ensure maximum performance to contract standards. Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization, you will develop networks throughout all functions and levels to influence and drive security initiatives.
Using your strong communication skills, you will brief site leadership on the status of security issues, incidents, and emerging threats.
Working independently and with limited guidance and utilizing your solid organizational skills, you will develop budgets and prepare capital expense and POM projects for review and approval.
Your ability to handle high-level, sensitive matters that require sound judgment and discretion will be essential as you participate in crisis management planning & training efforts as well as leading the on-the-scene crisis response in the event of a significant incident.
Your thorough understanding of relevant federal and local regulations such as CFATS, MTSA and CTPAT, as well as internal policies and guidelines, will be critical as you ensure the Business Units and Sites compliance with requirements.
