SUMMARY: This position is accountable for maintaining all Security Department and Valley Children's Healthcare policies, standard operating procedures, and protocols. The incumbent will be stationed at one of the public entrance security desks throughout the hospital and is primarily responsible for visitor identification and appointment verification and maintenance of a safe and secure environment on VCH property through identification of safety hazards and completion of health screening for clearance into the facility. Performs other duties as assigned by the Security Leadership.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma/G.E.D. BSIS GUARD - Guard Card required. BLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. Availability to work any assigned shift. Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and follow verbal and written English instruction. Possesses good customer service skills and must be able to communicate effectively with other Hospital employees, physicians, and the public, and work independently using good judgment and common sense. Familiarity with computer operations and Microsoft Office program (specifically Word Documents) are desirable. Bilingual skills preferred.
POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Day shifts. Weekend and Holiday's required.
