The purpose of this position is to assist with implementing the WaterOne safety and security program in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual agreements, policies, procedures, and best practices. This position will assist with improving the effectiveness of security in the workforce by eliminating potential for delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of personnel, contractors, and vendors and through the use of effective communication and other planning and organization techniques.

Assists with the implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive safety and security program that is fully integrated with other business objectives.
Issues and deactivates as necessary employee and contractor proximity card badges; ensures that badges will access those locations determined by the leadership team to be necessary for the position; and maintains appropriate records.
Responsible for all security software, including purging and access limits by users.
Troubleshoots and reports on daily camera, badge reader malfunctions, and system audits.
Provides oversight for the maintenance and repair of WaterOne security systems by WaterOne staff, third parties, and contractors as assigned.
Communicates regularly with all departments to provide updates on Security issues that arise through WaterOne facilities.
Stays current with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, consensus standards, and best practices pertaining to safety and security.
Performs or assists with periodic facility, safety and security inspections, reviews, and audits. Performs administrative and recordkeeping requirements for other safety program elements, as required.
Receives and addresses both non-emergency and emergency work requests from internal customers detailing faults within the WaterOne badge reader and camera security systems.
Conducts research and analysis within internal security systems and provides reports as requested by the Director of Human Resources & Administration, Safety and Security Manager and/or Legal & Auditing staff.
Analyzes security inspections to prioritize potential security breaches and ensures that items are made compliant by maintaining follow-through assistance with internal customers and equipment vendors.
Acts as lead contact with in-house, project, and vendor work orders related to safety and security. This includes scheduling work, setting invoices up for payment, interacting with Finance, and any related follow ups.
Assists WaterOne Project Engineers with security input on projects, questions, and/or concerns.
Responsible for safety shoe reimbursement processing.
Issues and handles return of handheld radios, physical keys, and garage door openers. Issues and maintains locker assignments, internal keybox devices and external fire department knoxbox devices. Follows established procedures and maintains appropriate records pertaining to these assignments.
Coordinates security background checks for contractors through a 3rd party agency.
Completes monthly dashboard and KPI reporting for safety and security.
Coordinates annual manual contracts for access control and video management systems. Manages various types of licensing as it pertains to security devices and software/hardware.
Provides security orientation for new employees.
Conducts AED and fire extinguisher inspections monthly. Acts as primary contact for fire departments to coordinate annual facility fire inspections.
Assists with the field review and evaluation of tasks to help reduce risks and ensure compliance with applicable security and safety requirements.
Documents corrective actions to address routine safety and security incidents and concerns and escalates non-routine issues to the manager level as appropriate.
Works closely with internal auditing group to assist with questions and harvest lessons from reportable findings.
Maintains confidentiality and escalates when appropriate all sensitive information including, but not exclusive to: HIPPA, security systems, employee incidents, and safety concerns.
Assists the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations.
Represents the organization in community or industry security programs or groups.
Assists with emergency response drills, audits and inspections such as: fire drills, other evacuation, equipment checks, and inside sheltering drills.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills & Experience
Minimum of Associates degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Safety, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum one year of safety and/or security administrative experience.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in meeting qualifications above.
Must have knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and standards in safety and security.
Knowledge of utilizing software for access control and video management, including proximity card access and control systems.
Demonstrated organization, planning, and customer service skills.
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be a good listener.
Must have a valid driver's license and continuously meet WaterOne driving standards.
Must be available to support the needs of the organization during occasional call out to respond to emergency and non-emergency needs.
Must pass post offer medical exam, including background verification and drug screen (may not apply to current employees).
Preferred Education, Skills & Experience
Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
Course work or training in security, safety, regulatory compliance, and information technology.
Experience with enterprise resource planning software such as SAP a plus.
