Responsible for cybersecurity efforts to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all company technology infrastructure, plus implements network security policies and procedures. The Cybersecurity Analyst works independently within the established procedures to ensure network security access and protects against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction. The Cybersecurity Analyst also assists and interacts with end-users to ensure the company’s network and data remain secure, efficient, and in compliance.
Monitor, respond, triage, and analyze SIEM and other system alerts.
Defend against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
Plan, develop, implement, and update company’s information security strategy.
Manage disaster recovery and incident response initiatives related to IT/OT.
Provide support to IT staff and perform help desk duties as needed.
Update assets with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.
Perform vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying, and defending against threats, and initiate mitigation responses.
Conduct and administer cybersecurity awareness user training and cybersecurity best practices.
Maintain current knowledge of computer systems, cybersecurity threats, and remediation techniques.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems with at least two (2) years work experience; or seven (7) years equivalent work experience.
Advanced training certifications are advantageous. i.e., CompTIA Security+
A least two years of experience in Cybersecurity and/or System/Network Administration.
A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Must have hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
Knowledge of the electrical distribution system is helpful.
Must have knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Working knowledge of enterprise systems as they apply to an electric utility is preferred.

Hours may vary to include after-hours support, outage mitigation, and project implementation.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
