Description: The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the clinical assistant professor level. The primary teaching responsibility for this position will include courses that support our cybersecurity concentrations at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, the candidate should be able to teach introductory courses on information systems required among all business students. Candidates should be devoted to excellence in teaching. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Position will remain open until filled.
The Hankamer School of Business (http://www.baylor.edu/business/) is AACSB accredited and home to the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (https://www.baylor.edu/business/isba/). The Information Systems and Business Analytics Department has 33 full-time faculty supporting three full-time MIS degrees (BBA, MSIS, and PhD) as well as business school service courses in quantitative business analysis (QBA), MIS, and business communications. Qualifications: Candidates should possess, or expect to earn before beginning their appointment, at least a masters degree in business or a closely related field. Those with a doctorate in Information Systems or a closely related field will also be considered with a slightly reduced teaching load to help support research activities. While prior industry experience is not mandatory, it is preferable. Along with these academic and professional credentials, applicants should have the ability to collaborate effectively with other faculty in a dynamic team-oriented educational environment. The normal teaching load for this position is four courses in both the fall and spring semesters. For clinical faculty on a research track, a one-course reduction during one semester is offered each year.
