St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is currently accepting applications for the role of Security Support Officer (unarmed). The Security Support Officer will provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for the security, safety and welfare of our students, faculty/staff, and guests while on school grounds; monitoring personnel and/or visitors; communicating information in response to inquiries; touring the assigned campus(s) to identify any irregularities (i.e., illegal entry, theft, fire, and vandalism); ensuring authorized use of fields during off-hours; and enforcing campus rules and regulations set forth by the Head of School and its administration.
Days and Hours:
Monday through Friday: 3:00pm-7:00pm (school days)
Weekends and Holidays: 8:00am - 4:00pm
36 hours per week
Overtime for Holidays worked
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Maintain responsibility for the health, welfare, and safety of the adults and children on SSSAS campuses
Supporting the after-school programs with monitoring of fields and grounds during exterior activities and other safety needs
Checking to ensure that exterior doors and windows are locked and secured
Monitoring fields and grounds for unauthorized usage
Reporting any identified problems or concerns to the Supervisor
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school administration.
Models professional standards when interacting with students, parents, peers, and community
Competencies, Skills, and Experience:
High school diploma or higher
Valid Driver’s License
Can work independently and can work as part of a team
Takes proactive approach in all job responsibilities
Demonstrates strong work ethic
Successful completion of background check and required training
Ability to walk for at least two hours without interruption, climb stairs, and lift at least 50 pounds
Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred
