Job DescriptionUnder general supervision of the shift supervisor, this position performs all duties and responsibilities related to the monitoring and screening of vehicular traffic entering the campus. This position may have additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Public Safety or by his designee.
The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: monitors and greets all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering campus through the main entrance gates; checks and verifies that all vehicles entering the campus have a valid Boston College permit, provides the appropriate visitor pass to all visitors and using exceptional customer service directs them to their designated parking area.
Additional responsibilities include security at all university events (Athletics Events, Commencement, Concerts, etc).
This is a 20 hour per week position

Hiring Range: $16,075 - $20,100; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
RequirementsMust successfully complete all training requirements and courses established and provided by the department, including but not limited to: Campus Security Authority and Title IX Training, First Aid/CPR, Customer service training, Campus parking rules and regulations.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service, write reports and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to successfully pass all criminal and departmental employment background checks and a physical and psychological exam.
EDUCATION
High school diploma/GED equivalent required with some work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Individual must be computer literate utilizing department systems, for example: email, Word documents, etc.
Ability to read and write at a proficient level.
EXPERIENCE
Prior work experience in customer service.
Military, security or police experience a plus.
OTHER
Must possess and retain a valid driver's license.
