The Level II Security Officer works to ensure a safe and secure environment for all persons on the premises. They provide shift pass down reports, vehicle and foot patrols, patient assists, emergency preparedness, guest assistance, access control, and de-escalate hostile persons and situations. The Level II Security Officer will have a general understanding of the security surveillance system. They will have extensive radio communication with the officers and the dispatch office, and must effectively and efficiently respond to calls for service.

Required Licenses/Certifications
Licensure/certification/registration:
Successful completion of a Level II or Level III Security Officer Training Course approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau.
Must appear on Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau website as a registered Level II or Level III Security Officer.
Register Level II or Level III Security Officer license onto company license via Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau website within 30 days of hire date.
Possess a current, non-expired Level II (Non-Commissioned) or Level III (Commissioned) Private Security Registration card.
Current Texas or New Mexico issued Driver�s License, Class C.
CPR/BLS (American Heart Association) certified or able to obtain certification within six (6) months of date of hire.
Customer service and conflict interaction skills, preferred.
Successful completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (Non-Violent Intervention) or able to obtain within six (6) months of date of hire.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
3 year minimum current Security experience or Law Enforcement equivalent. May substitute years of experience for a Bachelor�s degree in Criminal Justice (Accredited 4 Year College).
If served with the Armed Forces, discharge must be under honorable conditions as indicated on theDD214Form.
Must have reliable means of transportation to work.
Must be available to work various hours and shifts as needed.
Must have telephone service in residence.
