What We Are Looking For

The Security Guard works to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors by monitoring the facilities and grounds for unsafe conditions in order to provide a safe and secure experience.

A high school diploma or GED, less than one year of experience, and a Christian faith are required. An Associate's and three years of experience are preferred.

Applicants must successfully pass a psychological evaluation, physical examination, and complete background investigation to include but not limited to driving history, criminal background, credit history, and successfully complete our field training program.

*All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

• Patrol facilities and grounds throughout assigned shift, monitoring safety conditions and providing a security presence.
• Perform opening and closing procedures including securing facilities and grounds in cooperation with our campus partners.
• Respond to security officer related calls for service, and respond to these requests with a high quality customer service.
• Monitoring security cameras, checking doors, and/or documenting policy and safety violations as appropriate.
• Contact Baylor Police Department for law enforcement, medical, fire, or other emergencies.
• Participate in departmental training events, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Cover special events and assignments for security/safety posts or details.
• Posses the ability to work weekends and holidays if needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
• Ability to comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
