Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Security Guard works to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors by monitoring the facilities and grounds for unsafe conditions in order to provide a safe and secure experience.
A high school diploma or GED, less than one year of experience, and a Christian faith are required. An Associate's and three years of experience are preferred.
Applicants must successfully pass a psychological evaluation, physical examination, and complete background investigation to include but not limited to driving history, criminal background, credit history, and successfully complete our field training program.
*All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Patrol facilities and grounds throughout assigned shift, monitoring safety conditions and providing a security presence.
Perform opening and closing procedures including securing facilities and grounds in cooperation with our campus partners.
Respond to security officer related calls for service, and respond to these requests with a high quality customer service.
Monitoring security cameras, checking doors, and/or documenting policy and safety violations as appropriate.
Contact Baylor Police Department for law enforcement, medical, fire, or other emergencies.
Participate in departmental training events, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Cover special events and assignments for security/safety posts or details.
Posses the ability to work weekends and holidays if needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
