POSITION: Full-Time Infrastructure and Security Manager; IT - Network Operations Center; Haverhill Campus; 37.5 hours/week, Non-Unit Professional Position
SUMMARY: The Infrastructure and Security Manager, responsible for the planning, implementation, operation, security and support of IT infrastructure and services, including the data center, wired and wireless networks, firewall, servers, storage, telecommunication, and related security. Reporting to the Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager, the Infrastructure and Security Manager will work with the NOC team in building and managing a highly available, reliable, and secure computing environment. The ideal candidate will be a technical, hands-on leader with a record of managing and improving existing infrastructure and security, and possess strong leadership, technical, organizational development, and project management skills.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Lead the Infrastructure team with overall responsibility for the planning, deployment, maintenance, security, and support of infrastructure equipment, systems, and services.
Ensures the consistency, reliability and performance of networking and telecommunications equipment throughout campus.
Provide technical guidance for IT Infrastructure operations and projects, including hands-on collaboration with team members on best practices, implementation, testing, and problem resolution.
Architect technical solutions to support security initiatives, identify, assess, and monitor security vulnerabilities, develop, and implement policies, standards, strategies and processes to mitigate and prevent threats to the computing environment.
Participate the planning, installation, and configuration of virtual and/or physical servers, redundancy, and backup strategies.
Ensure that the network and IT infrastructure is routinely monitored, maintained, and updated with recent security patches.
Plan, document, and communicate regular maintenance schedule on all infrastructure.
Manage and document IT infrastructure disaster recovery plan, including network and server topology, data centers, storage and backups, telecommunications, and related physical technology infrastructure.
Manage procurement and vendor relationships and ensure RFP/RFQ's are developed according to established procedures.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Security, or related field. You may substitute 1 year of work experience for 1 year of Bachelor's level education.
3+ years of experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
3+ years of experience and a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows architecture, SQL Server, Windows Server 2008/2012/R2/2016/2019, Active Directory, Group Policies, SAML, SSO authentication, DNS/DHCP, SAN/NAS, VMware, and Veeam.
3+ years of experience supervising IT projects.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
All of the work associated with the duties and responsibilities for this position is ordinarily performed at NECC's main campus.
Afterhours and weekend hours may be required occasionally.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Security certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.)
Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE) or other certifications preferred.
Server administrator/engineer certification a plus (MCSA, MCSE, VCP, etc.)
Leadership skills and technical expertise to enable direct oversight and problem solving for all infrastructure implementations, upgrades, and operational activities.
In-depth knowledge of standards and practices related to IT Infrastructure security, state and federal regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, and risk management.
Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Willingness to investigate, learn, and initiate new processes, technologies, and analytical tools
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

Additional Information:
SALARY: Anticipated starting salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 annually with complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits.
