About the PositionThe Security Officer provides security services, access control management, and culture of safety experiences on the Navos campus its buildings, parking lots and grounds while ensuring for the safety & security of Navos employees, patients, clients and visitors. Acts as an ambassador of safety, the environment of care, and the culture of safety. Position RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Enforce agency policies and maintain a visible presence on campus. 2. Provide security support to staff, clients, patients, and visitors. 3. Provide first response to any emergency situations occurring on campus. 4. Participation in Client/patient risk review 5. Monitors all parking lots and common areas within the campus grounds 6. Conducts facility rounds as scheduled to ensure doors are locked, etc. 7. Manage campus key systems as directed 8. Access control and ID badge making. 9. Supports a system-wide understanding of trauma prevalence, impact and trauma informed care. 10. Fosters healing, hopeful, honest and trusting relationships for consumers and employees; Values consumer voice, choice and self-advocacy. 11. Demonstrates a commitment to cultural competence. 12. Promotes a safe, calm and secure environment with supportive care and family-driven services that are trauma specific and promote recovery and wellness. 13. Attend Monthly EOC safety Committee 14. Attend monthly staff meeting 15. Follows organization infection control policies and procedures. At risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens. 16. All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilitiesEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3-5 years' Security experience preferred.Current CPR/First Aid
