Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Network and Cybersecurity Administrator.

The Network and Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for performing and coordinating activities concerned with the acquisition, installation, configuration, maintenance, and Cybersecurity for the Cooperative’s network and communication systems.

The essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties.

• Responsible for all computer networks, telecommunication networks, security networks and all associated Cybersecurity systems.
• Responsible for all network security and Cybersecurity work practices and schedules.
• Site lead during Cybersecurity events.
• Co-Designs and implements server-side security policies, group policies, storage policies and maintains security databases and associated infrastructure.
• Maintains existing equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, Intrusion protection and detection systems (IPS/IDS), wireless infrastructure advanced logging and threat mitigation systems and fiber-optic network infrastructure.
• Maintains backup copies of all files, configurations, setup and restoral procedures.
• Designs, tests, and implements system architecture enhancements to improve network performance, reliability, failure recovery and Cybersecurity.
• Monitors network access (VPN), firewalls, and second stage spam and virus filters for trends, exploits, and threats to the network.
• Maintains and develops specifications for all telecommunications equipment and networks.
• Maintains and develops AWS networks and VPC structures, to include but not limited to, firewall instances, security groups, transit gateways and multicasting groups.
• Maintains positive working relationships with employees, members and the public, and provides Cybersecurity training to co-op employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field and five or more years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Administrator and COMPTIA CASP+ or CYSA+ certifications required.
• Arizona Driver’s License.
