York University is located in York, Nebraska, approximately 45 minutes west of Lincoln and 45 minutes east of Grand Island. The University has a strong Christian heritage and is affiliated with the churches of Christ. York University is both a ministry and a mission field providing numerous opportunities to introduce students to Jesus and/or help them grow in their faith. Our campus footprint provides ample space for our 450 seated students and 200 online students.

Qualifications: Must be able to teach a variety of lower and upper division courses in computer science including Information Technology, Programming I & II, Business Computer Applications, Hardware I, and Internet History.

A successful candidate will have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; doctorate preferred. All applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills and interest in the academic and spiritual development of undergraduate students. All qualified applicants must be professing Christians; be active, faithful members of a local congregation; and be willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the University; preference is given to fully qualified applicants who are members of the churches of Christ.  

Responsibilities:

• Provide up to 27 hours of classroom instruction per academic year
• Participate in departmental assessment
• Serve on campus wide committees as assigned
• Serve on department/division committees as assigned
• Maintain office hours
• Serve as an academic advisor
