Develop and Implement Information Security Strategy and Roadmap: Create and implement a comprehensive information security strategy and roadmap aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with senior management to establish security goals and metrics. Conduct regular risk and vulnerability assessments for identifying security gaps and proposing remediation measures.
Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Ensure effective communication, training, and enforcement of security policies. Stay updated on emerging threats and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Security Operations and Incident Response: Oversee security operations, manage incidents, and conduct investigations. Establish and maintain incident response plans, including detection, response, and recovery processes.
Security Governance and Reporting: Establish a security governance framework, provide regular reports on security initiatives and compliance, and act as a subject matter expert. Represent the university in security-related forums and conferences.
Change Agent: Design and deliver security awareness programs and training sessions. Promote a culture of security awareness and accountability across the university.
Vendor Management and Third-Party Risk: Assess and manage information security risks related to third-party vendors. Collaborate with stakeholders to include security requirements in vendor contracts. Monitor and evaluate vendor security posture.
