We're seeking someone to join our team as a Due Diligence Manager - Corporate Security & Investigations.
The global management of CSI is headquartered in New York City and oversees four regional offices with responsibility for all offices/branches located in the Americas, Europe, Japan and the Asia Pacific region. The CSI global team comprises experienced professionals with prior law enforcement, military, intelligence, and risk consulting & security industry experience and are located in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. CSI overseas key risk management functions like Client & Supplier Screening Due Diligence, Pre-Employment Screening, Fraud Investigation, Security Technology and Security Operations.

What you'll do in the role:
Ensure effective end-to-end case management, including adherence to client SLAs and documentation requirements, for all due diligence matters in the Greater China region.
Independent production of reports as well as review reports completed by other analysts. Test research results for accuracy and completeness and verify sufficient backup/source documentation has been attached to the case record.
Oversee the quality assurance (QA) review by analysts of external vendor reports for style and formatting. Ensure that the QA conducted sufficiently tests the external vendor's research results for accuracy and completeness.
Compile and analyze due diligence metrics to ensure appropriate resourcing within the team.
Personally manage complex investigative due diligence matters, briefing internal stakeholders and effectively managing external vendors.
Communicate effectively with internal clients in relation to their due diligence requests. Brief stakeholders such as franchise risk officers, Global Financial Crimes, and Legal when material findings are identified.
Assist in the recruitment and selection of new employees and contingent staff.
Develop training materials and assist in the professional learning and development of the team.
Provide advice, direction and help to less experienced analysts.
Handle material non-public information (MNPI) and personally identifiable information (PII) in accordance with Firm requirements and relevant regulations.
Work within a global team and communicate effectively with members of that team.
Develop, review, and/or update internal policies and procedures to ensure that the program is effective and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
Represent the function in relation to internal and external audit/review/testing engagements.
This is an Associate position within Security & Investigations, which develops and implements security and life safety strategies for all firm employees and facilities.
Actively participate in team meetings, projects/initiatives and contribute to solution formulation
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining control in executing client requests
Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge in order to contribute to team output
Qualifications:
What you'll bring to the role:
At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
University graduate
Minimum of 8 years of EDD/KYC related experience. Investigative and or analytical experience may be substituted.
Fluency in English and Chinese
Exceptional business writing, analytical, and communication skills
Excellent people and communication skills in a culturally diverse environment
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to AML, sanctions, and anti-Corruption in the financial industry.
Intimate understanding of the business environment, cultural context, and political affairs within the Asia Pacific region.
Mastery of numerous public record databases, internet sites, due diligence vendors and information resources for use during due diligence research. In addition, responsible for the identification of new databases and vendors that will enhance the due diligence process.
Organizational and time management skills: able to multitask and complete projects on time in a fast-paced environment
Preferred experience, skills, qualifications: Proven track record of managing complex matters involving source commentaries and field investigations. Experience deploying automation, machine learning, and other technology solutions in support of the due diligence research process. CAMS, CFE, or other relevant professional qualifications Experience with public speaking, business presentations, or conducting training
Ability to recognize risk in day-to-day processes, draw out key issues and contribute to process improvement
Subject matter expertise in the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence the team
