Position Description
The Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM) seeks applicants for an open rank, (rank based on qualifications) non-tenure system faculty position (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Practice or of Instruction) in the Risk Management and Cybersecurity program. The program focuses on preparing students for careers in risk management, insurance, and cybersecurity. Faculty members are responsible for developing curriculum, teaching prescribed courses as outlined by the degree plan, providing mentoring opportunities to students, and participating in risk management student organization meetings and events.
The appointment commences for the spring 2025 or fall 2025 semester.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: A master's degree or equivalent is required prior to employment, with at least five years of experience in the risk management or cybersecurity industry. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
Preferred Education and Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent and at least five years of experience in the financial services industry with progression to managerial positions.
