The Information Security Manager, reporting to the Director II of Information Technology Services, plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the District’s information assets. The position is responsible for implementing and maintaining robust information security programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of security awareness.
Experience Required: Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience at the enterprise level in Information Systems or Technology, with a focus on information security; Proven experience in information security, vulnerability management, and incident response; Experience in a technology K-12 environment is highly desirable; Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and protocols.
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Certifications: 1. Certification from the International Information System Security Consortium, Inc. ((ISC)²) in one of the following: a. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) b. Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) c. Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) 2. Lake Elsinore Unified School District (LEUSD) boundaries stretch over 144 square miles through Southwest Riverside County, serving families in Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, and Wildomar, and several unincorporated Riverside County communities, including Lakeland Village and Horsethief Canyon.
Our earliest schools began serving the valley during the 1880s, a few years before the City of Lake Elsinore's incorporation (1888). In 1988, Elsinore Union High School District unified with the Elsinore Elementary District (K-8) to form LEUSD. Over 140 years later, the legacy of education at LEUSD continues serving over 21 000 TK- 12th-grade students district at 25 schools, including alternative education programs.
