General Summary: Middlesex Community College invites applicants for part-time adjunct faculty teaching positions in IT - networking & cybersecurity to teach day, evening, and weekend courses in the Information Technology Department for the Fall 2025 and beyond.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to instruct courses in networking, IT systems, or cybersecurity (in-person or online)
Develop and use student-centered pedagogies
Develop and use assessment strategies that maximize the developmental learning process and measure student learning outcomes
Develop and apply instructional methods that engage students of varying learning styles and abilities
Develop and apply technology in and out of the classroom
Use Blackboard Learning Management System to post syllabi, assignments, and grades
Fulfill terms of the faculty contract as set out in the Agreement between the Board of Higher Education and the Division of Continuing Education (DCE).
Job Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or closely-related field
Professional experience with IT and cybersecurity.
Well-versed in the networking and security aspects and capable of teaching courses, including, IT support, networking I, networking II, networking III, cybersecurity I, cybersecurity II, scripting for security, and computing system fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher
Previous teaching experience in IT, cybersecurity, or closely-related field
Bilingual skills a plus
Working knowledge of MS Word, Blackboard LMS, and PC
