Secure locks on buildings and rooms in academic & business facilities on various KU campuses. Provide patrol inside these facilities and throughout the KU community by reporting security, maintenance and code compliance problems. Support the University of Kansas Police Department in a non-law enforcement capacity during emergencies and major events. This position requires extended walking and stair climbing. Candidates must be a high school graduate or have obtained their GED. A thorough background check is conducted and a valid driver's license is required. Security Officer Assignments include day or night shifts, weekends and holidays. Security officers will receive a one percent (1%) pay raise starting the first full pay period after completion of probation.
