The New School seeks professional Security Officers that will be responsible for the security and safety of The New School buildings. A drug screening examination, criminal history and background check is required for this position. This position reports to the Security Shift Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of all site-specific policies and procedures
Implement emergency response activities as appropriate
Provide superior customer service as well as providing building and premises security
WORKMODE On-Campus Position – Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely. This position requires rotating 8 hour shifts, 24 hours a day, including weekend and holidays.
Hourly Wage: $18 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 3 years related work experience & 30 college credits from an accredited college or university and/or the equivalent combination of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
Must have a New York State Issued Security Guard License.
