This position will work directly with Quality, Field Operations, Information Technology and Manufacturing Systems in both Foods and Agribusiness to identify, design, install and monitor the use of security-related technology across the organization. This position will also monitor and provide guidance to company management on all issues related to CFATS (Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards), MTSA (Maritime Security Act), FSMA (Food Safety & Modernization Act) as well as security related platforms such as RAVE, Sterling and DNA Fusion.
This position reports directly to the Director of Corporate Security. Relocation packages are available.
Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the development of appropriate specifications for physical security systems and security-related technology and/or software under senior management direction. To primarily include; CCTV, Access Control, ID Badge and electronic incident reporting systems.
Identifies appropriate technologies, vendors and designs to ensure selected solutions are cost-effective and meet the needs of the organization.
Responsible for staying up-to-date on all security-related regulatory matters for CFTAS, FSMA and MTSA to properly advise company management of the implications and solutions for full compliance to the appropriate regulations.
Tracks and reports progress for all security system projects to include; adherence to Perdue security requirements, expense and capital expenditures as it relates to stated budget (CER’s) and ongoing vendor performance no less than quarterly.
Interacts with other cross-functional associates/departments including: IT for vendor and software selection, design and installation; Accounting for tracking costs/expenditures; Quality, Engineering and Operations in both Agribusiness and Food Products to insure systems continually meet the needs of the business.
Prepares annual estimated budgets by complex and business unit for security-systems.
Manages the ongoing audit process to insure all physical security systems, technology and regulatory programs are maintained.
Stays abreast of security-related technological advances, providers and systems to continually provide technical security expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in security / security management, information technology or management is required, plus 5-7 years of experience in with a private sector security organization. 7+ years of experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven and verifiable work history that includes 5+ years of successful designing and implementing large, multi-site, integrated CCTV and Access Control systems.
Knowledgeable and able to communicate in plain language the concepts associated with a risk/threat analysis and then demonstrate the ability to design the appropriate security countermeasures.
Proven and verifiable work history that demonstrates full knowledge of security-related regulatory programs, including CFATS, MTSA and FSMA.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Physical Security Professional (PSP) or preferred.
Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.
