As a member of the Housing & Residence Life (HRL) IT department, the Access Control Technician helps to ensure consistent and reliable operation of card-based electronic door access for employees, students, and guests in HRL facilities. This includes configuring, installing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic door access control devices. This position is also responsible for managing door access through the University-wide CBORD® CS Gold® access control system. The Access Control Technician reports to the Assistant Director of IT Operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor electronic access control system and device performance on a daily basis and perform routine preventative maintenance.
