Reporting to the Manager of Security IT, the Physical Security Systems Administrator supports the systems that are used to manage physical security at the Institute. The Administrator will serve as the primary administrative contact for the systems. Duties include day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades. This position will manage projects related to the systems they support from conception through implementation.
This position is partial remote with an expectation of 2 - 3 onsite days in Boston, MA per week. Remote work may only be performed from the states of MA, RI, or NH.??

- Supports physical security applications. Provides system access and manages system objects in accordance with DFCI standard practice.
- Performs system testing and QA and provides reporting.
- Communicates and collaborates with customers and vendors to ensure optimal user and reliability of the systems. Create documentation and train end users.
- Designs, builds, installs, and configures software to support security operations workflows and resources.
- Supports, troubleshoots, and manages system interfaces.
- Analyzes security workflows supported by the multiple applications and identifies areas of improvement.
- May perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field. Experience may substitute for degree.
- 5 years of experience in physical security system administration.
- Advanced training certifications in CCURE and Victor systems preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security applications including CCURE 9000, Victor Video Management and Visitor Management systems.
- Familiarity with server class hardware (Dell, HP), storage systems and networking.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft SQL databases.
- Working knowledge of Virtual Machines, Windows Server 2012 R2& 2016, IIS and web applications.
- Familiarity with scripting languages including SQL script and Powershell.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
