The Village of Skokie (IL) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Fire Inspector. As a vital member of a nationally accredited Fire Dept., you will perform various essential technical and fieldwork duties relating to current fire prevention methods, fire inspections, and enforcement of adopted Codes and Ordinances for the Village of Skokie and the Skokie Fire Department. Inspects existing and new commercial properties for Code & Ordinance compliance; Conducts ongoing fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire pump, and installed systems inspections; Participates in community educational programs; Conducts final fire safety occupancy inspections, final fire prevention system tests for newly installed systems, and various high-risk occupancy fire
